Every experience in life is a transition, a bardo. These photos are a view from my own journey through loss. They were conceived with the aim of taking the viewer through a transient landscape where the experience of beauty is the only promise made. There can be no certainty of a destination.
Time has been erased, the images could be seen as either an end or a beginning. They cannot be grasped, they can only be acknowledged.
As a photographer, I strive to create images, not to record them. In this body of work I have relied on digital photography to capture an intermediate state. It best suits the way I work, which is slow and reflective.
